Schelde’s history dates back to 1892, when it started its activity in the Netherlands, selling and installing church organs. In the years that followed, the focus gradually shifted to the design and manufacture of school furniture, and later to physical education equipment for school gyms of the first generation.

The constant search for innovative design, safety for the user, simplicity of use and durability of the apparatus has over the years earned us an enviable reputation as a trendsetter. While the domestic emphasis is still on the complete equipping of school gyms and community sporthalls, Schelde’s international division has put the full focus on top quality professional equipment for competition sports. SUPERIOR BY DESIGN is not a hollow slogan, but is a feature that we build into every piece of Schelde equipment that one may come across worldwide.

We are proud of our deliveries to a great many olympic games, world and continental championships, high-level tournaments etc; but the same attention goes to the thousands of other customers who put their trust in us for fitting out their sports centre with equipment for basketball, volleyball, handball, tennis, badminton, football,etc. At present, we have happy customers in 120 countries, in all continents of the globe.
